17 Years Ago...

Yesterday, February 24th, we celebrated Dalton's 17th birthday!...excuse me?

• My "baby" is 17?!?

Boy, as hard as that is to accept, I am so proud to see Dalton's maturity each and every year. I remember the moment, of the above picture, as if it were yesterday! It was taken in the hospital and was Dillon's first introduction to his brother...his best friend!

Fast forward 17 years to today...Dalton has been the perfect completion to our little family of four. I am rejoicing in the truth that "every good and perfect gift comes from above." Thank you Lord for the gift of Dalton!

Birthday dinner...

Since the both boys had to work, just Derek and I went out to dinner. How about that?...not only my birthday but a date night too! :) We went to a new place (which I am normally not too eager or brave to try new places) but with the name, "The Lazy Dog Cafe", how could it be bad? The place was decorated so cute, I wish I could have captured it all. For instance, upon entrance to the bar area was this saying on the wall, "Live like a Cat - Drink like a Dog..." and upon the wall of the kitchen was this saying, "Sit...Stay...Eat!" Adorable I tell you...and of course, there were paw prints everywhere.It has been a long history of mine to always check out a new place's restroom and boy, I was not disappointed. Just check out the signs upon entering the bathroom...how cute is that?

Then, as you wash your hands there is a reminder to all patrons...

By the time I finished washing my hands the restroom was full and I couldn't take a picture of the sink...ugh! And then when we left I noticed the handles to the door of the cafe were large dog bones! (By this time, I have about died over all the cute details around this place.) Derek said that he'd prefer me not to take a picture as the lobby was standing room only and being the submissive wife I am, I obliged... :)

Betcha didn't know...

...I'm as old as the Super Bowl! I'll let you figure it out...

...upon hearing this news, a lady from church replied, "Oh yeah, well I'm as old as Disneyland!"

Today is my birthday and I have been able to hang out with these two all day...:)


And look at what these two boys of mine gave me...precious, I love it!

Thankful...

Well, it's official...I have passed all 3 CSETs!!! I think I have re-read the email notification five different times... :)
