It's been a while...
Here's a little bit of what's been going on in our neck of the woods lately...
Derek's mom turned 75 this week and we celebrated at their home this past weekend. It was great to see family and catch-up. My only wish is that we could have spent more time with the Munoz family...sigh!
Here is Derek finally having the time to put many of his Christmas/Birthday gifts to use: new golf shoes, new DUCK golf shirt, new DUCK golf towel, handwarmers, tees and balls. He was so cute coming out of the bedroom, looking like a little boy all set for the day...
And Derek after above mentioned golf date...sound asleep at the computer in front of a roaring fire...
The boys were able to visit my parents in Bakersfield for a weekend in January and my dad took them to the shooting range. They had the best time and can hardly wait to do it again. We are very thankful to have parents who want to spend time with our boys! :)
An Axel update...here is the big boy at 1! This picture of him cracks me up...he is on top of the picnic table! Naughty, yes, but oh, so cute!!
Lastly, I have had the past week off from school...huge relief! I have enjoyed re-organizing cabinets, reading, walking, shopping with my mom :), teaching a friend how to sew a new project, sleeping and just simply having NO stress! :) I am very thankful to the Lord for sustaining me during this past quarter....I remember feeling quite overwhelmed and intimated at the start but took it one step at a time and proved to myself that I can do this! Looking forward to the month of June as I will graduate - can't wait! But I must keep my feet on the ground...one more quarter (actually one more class, the other classes are credential classes) to complete.
Until next time...

June Bug...
Since June's auntie is out of the country (having a grand time in England, I'm sure!) and can't post this most recent picture of Junie, I thought it was my duty to post it here! :) Dontcha just want to eat her up!?! She makes me smile...
It's hard to believe that we welcomed Ms. June into this world almost a year ago! WOW...I wish time could just slow down a little bit. We are so excited to celebrate June's 1st birthday in a couple of weeks!!
My lovely cousin Kristen and baby June...xoxo!! Can't wait to see you. :)

Today's Visitor...
Brooke's family grew this week....meet Hank, their 8 week old Rottie! He is so adorable and I just melted! Actually, all of us melted. He has a great temperament and already loves to play with toys. Brooke said he is really into chewing...but such is life with a new puppy. :)
He latched onto this toy really quick...it was almost as big as him!
I couldn't get enough of him...
After visiting for over an hour, Hank was exhausted!
So sweet...look at those paws!!
After awhile we introduced Bogey and Sandie to Hank. Surprisingly, they did very well. Hank really enjoyed trying to play with them. Sandie acted like an older jealous sibling (not in a bad way, she just wanted the same attention given to Hank) while Bogey could care less. It was a fun visit and I am hoping for many more!!

A record...
Wow! Three posts in one day...must be some sort of record. Be sure to scroll all the way down! :)
Yep, another one...
February is a busy month of birthday celebrations for our family...3 out of 4! Yesterday was Derek's birthday and we went to our new favorite, local restaurant...Miso's Sushi. We had lunch with two friends from church and had a great time!
Derek and Anthony split this sushi goodness (according to them it's good), Michele and I both don't like Sushi, however, they have wonderful teriyaki chicken!
After lunch we attended our Care Group from church and I made Derek this huge cupcake cake. :) It was so cute and Derek really appreciated my efforts! **my kitchen was a mess by the time I was finished!**
Awana Games...
