Baseball Banquet...

Last night Baseball was officially over! The banquet was held at the school and it was very nice to fellowship with all the parents again and the boys had fun too! I know the above picture is not the greatest but it's hard to take good pictures when your son is too embarrassed to stop and let his mom capture the moment...sigh! Anyhoo, Dalton was awarded the "Most Improved Player" :) He was the only one on his team that had never played before and the coach threw him into second base! He accepted the challenge and really did improve through sheer determination.
Dalton said that he was kind of embarrassed to receive this award because "it means that you really stink when you start!" Derek and I both replied, "well Son, it's true...remember you never played before?!" We are very proud of him :)

The patch is for his letterman jacket :)

Here is Dalton and Tarynn. She played on the softball team and was awarded MVP!
Way to go!!

  3. just so you know, Dalton. I got Most Improved when I first played softball in 9th grade..and I felt the same way...like a consolation prize, huh? Then the next two years I earned MVP andmy senior year the highest, Coaches Award. I had never played either! and I thought, man. if only I started as a little kid...maybe I could have paid my way through college! LOVED IT! LOVE YOU!
