For over 8 years we have had to truck in our water. We are not alone, but in the majority in our little rural town.
Throughout our years of living in the country, we have had many issues with water. From the tank being empty due to leaks in the piping around the property to pressure pump breaks and freezing.
There is nothing I hate more than being without water! It literally stops me in my tracks and puts my faith to the test.... BIG TIME!!
So last week we discovered that our water tank had a leak...we went through approximately 4000 gallons of water in six days!! That amount of water usually would last for about three weeks...ugh!
A new tank was in order and FAST!! Here is Derek on the day of delivery...all bundled up (Dad, do you recognize the jacket?) :)
We had to empty the tank and my heart sank as the water flowed out...all I saw was dollar bills!
Following is the sequence of our morning last week...out with the old tank and in with the new.

Check out the size of that wrench!!!...
We discovered not one but THREE holes in the bottom of the tank...eeks!!
leveling...
attempt #1...
more leveling...
success...
bah-bye old tank, thanks for your years of service....
And finally...installed and ready to be filled. What a relief!
What I know for sure is that God remains faithful even when I am of little faith!
What a feat! Congratulations on your new tank!
ReplyDeleteDerek never ceases to surprise me in what he can do. God is faithful.
