Too-da-loo...

Yesterday we had a "send-off" party for Dillon because tomorrow morning we are officially moving him to Colorado.  It is definitely bitter-sweet!  Although I will miss him terribly, I am SOOOO very excited for him!

He invited those closest to him and it was a great time together!  Guests arrived at 1:00 pm and the last guest didn't leave until 10:00 pm.  :) I am happy to announce that my picture taking was spot on!  I made sure to take a picture of everyone with Dillon before they left.  :)  Enjoy our celebration:
My dad ordered these cookies special from Smith's Bakery, it's the mascot for Colorado State!  They were a big hit with all the kids all throughout the night!  :)

I made Dillon's favorite, lemon cupcakes....

A display of his diploma from College of the Canyons (AS in Accounting) and a picture of him at CSU...
My parents gave Dillon his very own hair clippers....yay!

We served amazing sandwiches (thanks Mom & Dad, xoxo!), hotlinks, pasta salad, "the green stuff", and fruit kabobs...mmmm good!

sunday school this morning...dillon's last one until Christmastime...
As Dillon has been saying good-bye to everyone, I am reminded of yet another "I Love Lucy" episode.  The one where Lucy is leaving to move to the country and she and Ethel are having a hard time saying good-bye.  Ethel is strong and says, "It's not good-bye, Lucy, but too-da-loo."  And Lucy agrees by saying, "Too-da-loo, Ethel."  I shared this with Dillon and he smiled in agreement.

It's just too-da-loo until we see you again!  :)

We'd appreciate your prayers as we travel the next two days and specifically for me that I don't break down into the ugly cry in front of Dillon when we say good-bye... :-/
Thank you and too-da-loo...

  1. What a fun send-off! Dillon has the nicest group of friends and it's exciting to see them pursue their dreams. What's hard is letting go... so I like the idea of too-da-loo....until
    the next celebration!
